DIABETES

Diet: Mediterranean Diet or the anti-inflammatory diet. Calories should be limited to 1200 if you are overweight. Diabetics generally do better with sugar control with a higher protein diet mix.

Exercise: it is important to be moving and flexible.

Products: there are many useful products, but I will recommend a few. The links to different companies can be found in the Introduction tab.

OrthoMolecular

  1. Diaxinol: a natural and synergistic formula for promoting balanced blood sugar levels. Basic.
  2. CM Core: backed by extensive research and designed to help support sugar and lipid balance and is an aid in controlling neuropathy.
  3. Citra NOX: is formulated to maintain healthy blood pressure levels by enhancing nitric oxide synthesis.
  4. GlycemaCORE: powder with key nutrients to help promote healthy blood sugar levels.
  5. Glycocalyx PRO: formulated to preserve, protect and regenerate the endothelial glycocalyx by providing the foundational building blocks that make up this delicate vascular barrier. I especially use this with carotid atherosclerosis.
  6. Lipitrol OX: designed to help support healthy levels of oxidized LDL cholesterol and help support proper endothelial function and cardiovascular health.

NuMedica

  1. Glucose Response: if you have pre-diabetes, mild hyperglycemia or reactive hypoglycemia, I have found two a day to be helpful. For Diabetes Mellitus I recommend a minimum of 2, but preferably two twice a day.
  2. Berberine Nox: this product can substitute for Metformin in function and thus decrease exposure to its side effects. It also helps balance lipids and improve vascular protection.

Declining Kidney function: NephroWise and M&C Win. I have to order these in.
